Yes, Dragon® Medical One is a cloud-based solution; therefore, updates can be automatically applied when available. Users will receive a notification through Dragon® Medical One once an update becomes available.
Although Dragon® Medical One is a cloud-based speech recognition solution, it will never store your voice recordings or dictations for security purposes. The program may log which applications it’s being used in but will never collect or record a user’s actual speech data.
The Nuance® PowerMic Mobile App allows users to dictate directly into Dragon® Medical One using their Apple or Android Smartphones as a wireless microphone. PowerMic Mobile gives clinicians the freedom to roam from workstation-to-workstation, room-to-room, and location-to-location to complete clinical documentation.
If a call comes in while using the Nuance® PowerMic Mobile app, the microphone will go into Standby mode until the users has completed the call or text, at which time they will be able to resume dictation.
Unlike Bluetooth and wireless USB, there are virtually no range limits when using the PowerMic Mobile app on your Smartphone. As long as you have a signal or Internet connection, you will be able to dictate into Dragon® Medical One from any distance.
The credentials for the PowerMic Mobile App are the same as your credentials to Dragon® Medical One. If you have lost or misplaced your login credentials, please contact your Value Added Reseller for assistance.
Yes, the Nuance® PowerMic Mobile app allows users to control their Dragon® Medical One microphone through their Smartphone. In addition to controlling your Dragon® microphone, user can also navigate through variable voice fields and even control the Dictation Box.
